The One with Transfers

Where do I even begin??

How about at NOOOOOOO because Sister Kim Yeji got transferred to Jeju!!! I am so depressed. I don't think anyone can understand! We have had so much fun these last two transfers, and we finally started to see our work paying off. Oh, let's talk about that! Hong Yeji decided to start the 30/30 English program where we spend 30 minutes teaching English and 30 minutes sharing a spiritual message. How?? Because of transfers! Isn't it funny how God works?

Usually on the last Thursday night of the transfer, the AP's call between 8:50 and 10:20. If the American AP calls, the American is getting transferred and if the Korean AP calls, the Korean companion is getting transferred. But our call never came. We were both so excited and nervous and confused so we couldn't sleep. However, after exercise in the morning, the American AP called us. They had run out of time the night before because there were a lot of changes this transfer. I was so nervous! But all of the sudden he said that I was staying in Jinhae and that Sister Kim Yeji was going to whitewash on Jeju! We freaked out. She is so nervous! Please pray for her!! I am secretly a little jealous because I want to go to Jeju so bad...but I think my chances are high because last transfer Elder Trentman went from Jinhae to Jeju and now Sister Kim Yeji, so maybe I've got a shot? *Please* Anyway, because Sister Kim was getting transferred, we had an opportunity to meet with Hong Yeji because she wanted to say bye to Kim Yeji. We went out to eat and during the meal there was the most perfect chance to talk about the 30/30 program. At first Hong Yeji was a little skeptical because she already goes to another church, but when Sister Kim started talking about the Book of Mormon Hong Yeji suddenly opened up and was really eager to start the program. She also shared some of her religious worries and doubts about her current church with us. I have a really good feeling about her! And she is such a great friend and a lovely person. You don't just meet people like Hong Yeji on accident!

Anyway, this week was really great. I am so excited to meet my new companion. Her name is 정혜민  (Jong Hyeh Min). She is also Korean and she doesn't speak much English. She is from Seoul and I hear she is really good at cooking, so I am excited to learn some of her recipes. I have been praying for her and I would love it if y'all would pray for her too.

Keep being wonderful!
